Ingredients
- 5-6 cups brown rice Rice Krispies (or regular Rice Krispies)
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 Tbs honey
- 3/4 cup peanut butter (or any nut butter)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate chips ( optional)
Preparation
- In a large pot, add syrup, honey, vanilla, and salt.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 1 minute.
- Add peanut butter and continue cooking and stirring for 2 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and add Rice Krispies. Mix well.
- Spread mixture into an 8" square dish sprayed with Pam.
- Press very firmly or bars will crumble when cut.
- When cool, cut into squares.
- Then drizzle with melted chocolate, if desired.
- Chill in the fridge until the chocolate is firm.
