Children often imagine stalks of broccoli as immense trees. But what most people don’t imagine is the amazing benefits of eating those trees. God has created broccoli to make a substance that seems almost magical. It helps to prevent cancer and to keep it from spreading when it does start. There is evidence that it helps manage diabetes and even helps kids with autism to have better social interaction, better verbal communication and more pleasant behavior. There’s only one catch. To benefit from this substance, you’ll need to eat your “trees” raw. Chop some as a salad topper or finish your meal with a few sprigs for a fresh breath feel. Take broccoli in a zippered bag as part of a healthy packed lunch. Enjoy the trees!
