COVID-19

Greetings DWTD friends!

We are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and we are being inundated with a mountain of information--some true, some false, some contradictory and some scary! Because the pandemic is dynamic, we are receiving updated information on a daily basis. In my opinion, we should not panic; however we do need to take this health crisis very seriously. Some may believe we are overreacting, but I really don't think that we can do enough!  Mitigation (that is, social distancing), is extremely important to help reduce the spread.  We cannot afford to be complacent in this situation.  There are many helpful articles in the media right now, and I wanted to share a few that I found to be accurate (with what we currently know) and helpful. They are linked below:

Many of my patients are asking me "What can I do to stay well?"  I believe that we should follow the guidelines of our health experts in regards to social distancing, testing when appropriate, and closing and canceling various gatherings, events and activities as instructed.  Beyond that, I strongly recommend following the health principles I shared in my presentation "Why Do We Get Sick and What Can We Do About It?"  For those of you who do not have the notes from that lecture, watch the video at the end of this article.

Let's continue to seek God's leading and guidance as we each make decisions regarding our health in these challenging days!
