If you could take something to improve alertness, happiness and clarity of thought, would you be interested? It’s as close as your kitchen sink. Research shows that fluid restriction causes sleepiness, fatigue, and confusion. But the symptoms quickly resolve with adequate water intake. Children may do better on tests if they get enough water. Getting plenty of water may reduce the risk of bladder cancer. And the Adventist Health Study showed that those who drink 5 or more glasses of water a day had half the risk of dying from heart disease compared to those who drank 2 glasses a day. Do you struggle to get that water down? Try adding a few slices of orange, lime or cucumber to a pitcher of water in your fridge.
