Cream Sauce


  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbp chicken-like seasoning (McKays)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbs cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups more water (to be added after blending)


  1. Place all ingredients in the blender and blend on high for about 2 minutes until smooth.
  2. Pour into a source pan, then add 1 1/2 cups water to a blender and blend, then add to the mixture in the pan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly as it thickens to keep it from lumping. As soon as it thickens, remove from heat.

Note: If you don't have a powerful blender, such as a Vitamix, you may want to soak the cashews for 2-3 hours or overnight in the fridge. This will soften them and create a creamy texture instead of a gritty one.
