Easy Garlic Hummus


  • 1 can no/low sodium garbanzos, drained
  • 1/3 cup water or garbanzo liquid
  • 2 cloves garlic or 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 lemon (juice)
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • Salt to taste


  1. Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend/process.
  2. Add a little extra water if needed to make the blender work.

Make this in a food processor for a more textured result.

Serve with oil free woven wheat crackers(found at whole foods), oil free pita bread and/or raw vegetables.

Also use hummus as a sandwich filling, topping for potatoes, or salad dressing (thin with a little water).

Optional ingredients:

  • Place hummus in bowl and stir in one or more of the following:
  • 1-2 TBS dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped
