1 6-oz. can tomato paste
2 Tblsp. cashew or almond butter
1 cup water
1/4 - 1/3 cup honey (taste for sweetness before adding more)
1/4 cup vinegar
1/8 tsp paprika
dash of cayenne
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 small, sweet onion, peeled and quartered
1/2 tsp. salt, or to taste
Blend all ingredients for 2 minutes, until very smooth.
Taste and adjust seasonings, if necessary.
