Easy Cheese Sauce


  • 1/3 cup of raw cashews
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 4 oz. jar of pimentos
  • 2 tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 jalapeno or to taste (optional)


  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth

Note: May add a little water if sauce seems too thick.

If you do not have a powerful blender, such as a Vitamix, you may want to soak the cashews for 2-3 hours OR overnight in the fridge. This will soften them and create a creamy texture instead of a gritty one.
